1. Different definitions
PETG is a transparent, amorphous copolyester. The commonly used comonomer for PETG is 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM), also known as polyethylene terephthalate-1,4-cyclohexanedimethylene.
PET plastic is an abbreviation for polyethylene terephthalate in English, abbreviated as PET or PETP. The Chinese meaning is: polyethylene terephthalate plastics, mainly including polyethylene terephthalate PET and polybutylene terephthalate PBT.
2. Different uses
PET is mainly used for packaging various beverage containers, such as pure water bottles like Nongfu Spring and cola like beverage bottles. Of course, I think women who love beauty should not be unfamiliar with petg.
PETG is used for various long-term daily necessities, such as cosmetics bottles, perfume bottles, drug packaging containers, etc.
3. Different characteristics
PETG sheets are easy to produce products with complex shapes and high stretching ratios. Moreover, unlike PC boards and impact modified acrylic, this type of board does not require pre drying treatment before hot forming processing. Compared with PC boards or acrylic, it has a shorter molding cycle, lower temperature, and higher yield.
The molecular structure of PET plastic is highly symmetrical and has a certain degree of crystallization orientation ability, therefore it has high film-forming properties and properties. PET plastic has excellent optical properties and weather resistance, while amorphous PET plastic has good optical transparency.
